Have you heard about this? A restaurant near Phoenix has been serving "Lion Burgers" as a limited time promotion for the football world cup in South Africa. Apparently the restaurant's owner, Cameron Selogie, thought that the mix of beef and lion meat would be an "interesting" option for some of the more adventurous customers.
The restaurant has recieved a bomb threat and around 250 angry e-mails from animal rights activists, although Mr. Selogie has stated that the meat comes from a U.S. Department of Agriculture regulated free-range farm and in no way impacts on endangered species. Regardless whether you disagree with eating lion or not.... it's still pretty wierd isn't it? And how do you farm lions...? Anyway it's time to decide - Lion Burgers: What do you think?
